Easy Way to Create Location Specific Meta Ads
Liana learned a tip from Ian Henman, an AdSkills guardian, about creating state-specific ads in Google Ads.
Liana has been testing this strategy with success in Facebook ads.
Liana creates a campaign for one state at a time, using New York as an example.
Liana does not recreate all of their videos for each campaign.
The location is set to serve in New York only in the campaign and ad set.
Liana uses the primary text to call out people by their location, such as “New Yorkers”. This is allowed according to the meta policy.
Liana finds it helpful to not only put the location call-out in the primary text but also add it to the video.
Liana uses a short video created in Canva for the ad.
Liana edits the video to add a text overlay saying “Hey New York”. The text overlay doesn’t cover the whole video, just the first part.
Liana adjusts the size, style, and color of the text overlay to make it look good.
Liana applies these changes to the video in the ad.
